MARIA BERGER SMERALDI (1889-1972) is one of the foremost floral artists of the art world. While she specializes in floral paintings, she is best known in eastern art circles for murals. She painted these in collaboration with her late husband John B. Smeraldi, one of the famous mural artists of America. Mansions, churches, hotels and mausoleums from coast to coast and from Cuba to Canada were made superbly beautiful by the elegance of their combined talents. Her work has been widely lithoed.
