Jean Colin (1881-1961)
Belgian artist born 1881 in Brussels, studied painting and engraving at the Académie de Bruxelles under Isidore Verheyden. Won the coveted "Prix de Rome" in 1910. Lived and perfected his artistic style in Italy and Algeria before returning to Belgium. Worked as painter in impressionistic style and executed a series of posters for a french aviation company. Passed on 1961 in Saint Josse ten Node. His work is highly collectible.
