Carmel Valley Wineries - Joullian Vineyards

This print by artist Kerne Erickson depicts the majestic undulating vineyards of Joullian Vineyards which is located deep in the Carmel Valley AVA. Established in 1982, this long and narrow valley is located in Monterey County east of Carmel-by-the-Sea and only has over 300 planted acres of grape vines, the grape varieties include, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Viognier, Malbec and Sauvignon Blanc. Soil types include: Gravelly Sandy Loam and Sandy Loam. Also found in this area near the creeks and rivers are alluvial soils rich in nutrients.
