Albert Füss (1889-1969)
German artist, born in Frankfurt/Main; studied at the Frankfurter Kunstschule (Art Academy). Artistic director of the "Frankfurter Zeitung", a leading newspaper and the "Societäts-Verlag", a publishing company. Taught at the Fachschule für Buch- und Kunstgewerbe, Frankfurt, and designed much work for the city's Fairs. Designed many posters for cruise ship line HAMBURG-AMERIKA LINIE (HAMBURG-AMERICAN LINE), highly collectable. Died 5 March 1969 in Frankfurt a.M.
